Once again, the AFP NC Triad Chapter has been named a Ten Star GOLD Chapter and a Friends of Diversity Chapter by The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
Each year, AFP, the largest association of professional fundraisers in the world, honors chapters for achieving goals that align with key objectives in its long-range strategic plan. Chapters receive the Ten Star GOLD Award for performing specific activities designed to increase professionalism within fundraising and public awareness of the importance of philanthropy. Less than 20 percent of AFP’s 243 chapters earn the Ten Star Gold Chapter recognition.
The Friends of Diversity Designation recognizes those chapters who have accomplished many of the key objectives in AFP’s goal of advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, and access in the fundraising profession.
“Our chapter has a long history of exceptional programming and service fundraising professionals across the Triad,” said Laurie Weaver, 2019 NC Triad Chapter President. “We value these designations as they honor our commitment to the profession and to our current and future Chapter members.”
