This members-only benefit is a valuable one, especially if you are in the early years of your career or are in a one-person/small shop.
Mentoring a colleague is not only personally fulfilling, but helps the mentor to reflect upon his or her career path and skills. Both mentor and mentee will learn from each other.
The Triad AFP Chapter offers members one-on-one assistance through this unique program to enhance their career growth and knowledge as development professionals. Participation as a Mentee is available to members who have completed one year of professional experience. Participation as a Mentor is encouraged from members with demonstrated expertise in fundraising in a professional setting with over 5+ years of experience, especially CFRE awarded professionals.
The 2017-2018 Mentoring Partners program occurs over a one year time span beginning annually in September.
There is a mandatory orientation and dinner on Thursday, September 7 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Family Services, 1200 South Broad Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
