MEMBERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year, AFP awards scholarships for one Professional Membership and one Young Professional Membership membership to a fundraiser in the Triad region who hasn’t yet experienced AFP. Applicants must be sponsored by a current AFP member and complete the annual application by the posted deadline. Please note that current members may only sponsor one scholarship applicant per year.

The Professional Membership is a one-year renewable scholarship. The first year, AFP covers the recipient's annual membership dues; second-year scholarships cover half of the annual membership with the remaining dues being paid by the recipients or their employer. Second-year scholarships are determined by the recipient's participation during their first year as a member. In addition, scholarship recipients agree to actively serve on a Board committee and to attend monthly AFP meetings for the duration of their scholarship period. If a recipient leaves their position or organization during the scholarship period, the organization may send a replacement to fulfill the scholarship position or reimburse AFP for the awarded scholarship.
